BIOGRAPHY

Anya Zholud

Born in Leningrad, USSR, in 1981. 

Graduated from St. Petersburg Art College and the St. Petersburg State Academy of Applied Art and Design. 

2003 — based in Moscow, Russia.

2006 — the School of Contemporary Art Free Workshops.

2008 — the Institute of Contemporary Arts, Moscow.

2009 — Participated in the main project in the 53rd Venice Biennale.

2007, 2009 and 2012 — nominated for the All-Russia «Innovation» prize in the sphere of contemporary art. 

2008, 2013 and 2017 — nominated for the «Kandinsky Prize».

Art works are in the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, Private Contemporary Art Museum in Moscow, National Centre for Contemporary Arts, Museum of Non-conformist Art (St. Petersburg), State Hermitage Museum, State Russian Museum, State Tretyakov Gallery.
